Stem Youth Innovation Competition

School entries for the International Stem Youth Innovation Competition programme are now open for the 2019 year.

Are you or your students fans of drone technology? Fancy the chance of winning some great prizes and taking part in an international competition - with a top prize of £5,000?

The British International Education Association (BIEA) has designed an exciting new drone competition that will see UK schools competing head-to-head with students from China and across the world.

Fighting extinction

The competition invites students (aged 9-17) to research how drone innovation can be used in the conservation of endangered animal species. There are lots of prizes up for grabs at the first research stage - including awards for best report, effort and creativity

Up to 12 finalists from the UK will then be selected and given a budget to buy and modify a drone and make a video to document their work. The grand final takes place on 4th July 2019, where UK teams will compete with teams across the world for the top prize of £5,000

Register your school’s interest online here and start researching – with a deadline of 31st March for the first stage report submissions.
