School staff are invited to the CITES 2019 Conference - 'Making Therapy Work'.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the practical application of simple therapy approaches that will benefit all children, especially those with additional needs.
Booking is open for the Children's Integrated Therapy and Equipment Service (CITES) 2019 Conference - 'Making Therapy Work'. The conference will be held at the Amex Stadium, Falmer on Tuesday 7 May, 8am to 4pm.
This is a fantastic opportunity for school staff to learn about the practical application of simple therapy approaches that will benefit all children, especially those with additional needs.
Broadcaster and autism awareness campaigner Carrie Grant will be delivering the conference keynote speech. She will talk about her experiences of raising children with autism and the work she does to raise awareness of, and celebrate, neuro-diversity.
Find out about CITES' new web-based resources and pick up your own free therapy resources on the day, worth up to £100.
Take part in a range of workshops, including:
- Zones of regulation
- How to run an inclusive PE lesson
- Handwriting: hidden difficulties
- Differentiating for children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs
- Understanding hypermobility
- Introduction to language approaches
- Attention, listening and memory
The conference costs £50 per person (including refreshments, lunch and a resource pack). All bookings must be made via the East Sussex Learning Portal.
