Term Time Only Staff – Weeks per Year

Notification of the number of weeks per year term time only employees should receive payment for.

Term time only employees are not allocated an entitlement of annual leave to request at a time of their choosing. Instead, they are required to work a defined number of weeks and they receive a payment in lieu of an annual leave entitlement.

This payment is added to their salary and paid monthly in twelve equal instalments to ensure that they receive a consistent level of pay during any non-working periods.

School-based roles have a pre-calculated entitlement, as shown below, based on the type of job role.
