Inform Families Workshop – Enable families to access online services Tuesday 5 February 2019

This half day workshop provides knowledge and confidence to support families to access online services and information. The course is delivered by the Family Information Service in Children's Services who established the Parent Information Contact (PIC) Scheme in 2007.

The aim of this workshop is to increase your knowledge on where to access relevant information online to support and help families.

Explore websites C360, Czone, ESCIS and ESCC and learn how to enable and empower families to successfully access online services. This knowledge will give you a toolkit of online resources.

Develop listening and communication skills to understand the specific needs of families you work with.

Utilise social media and gain access to key Facebook sites for information on events and courses for families across East Sussex.

Use laptop and smart phones to access online services and identify the differences and top tips to help families.

Explore what you can do to promote and engage with families who are not IT confident.

Ideal for front line staff in working with parents including; administration support, community support organisations, early help keyworkers, health visitors, library staff, nursery nurses, parent support advisors, school pastoral care workers, school teaching assistants and school reception staff and volunteers.
