Virtual Schoolbag (VSB)
A reminder that applications for the NASENCO Programme taking place at Newick Teaching School, East Sussex commencing September 2018, must be made by the 31st August deadline.
We will also ensure that all applications received within the next two weeks – by 3pm on Friday 13th July will be guaranteed early access to online resources. If you/your SENCO wishes to apply for a place on the programme, we would urge you/your SENCO to apply at your earliest convenience as numbers for the cohort are strictly limited and a small number of places remain available.
In September 2009 it became law for every new SENCO in a mainstream school to gain the Master’s-level National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (NASENCO) within three years of taking up the post. Working in partnership with the Best Practice Network, CAST are delighted to be able to offer the programme locally to Sussex schools.
The programme takes place over the entire academic year, with the 6 face to face sessions taking place on the following dates : -
Wednesday 19th September 09.30 – 15.30 Day 1
Friday 19th October 09.30 – 15.30 Day 2
Monday 26th November 09.30 – 15.30 Day 3
Fri 8th February 2019 09.30 – 15.30 Day 4
(Days 5 and 6 - April / June Dates TBC)
