As you will be aware September, the busiest period for recruitment and contract changes, is now fast approaching.
We would therefore like to take this opportunity to remind schools of the deadlines to submit work in order for this to be reflected in staff’s September salaries.
The deadlines for all new starters and additional positions is the 3rd of the month, whilst all other contract changes reported via the Personnel Report must be returned to Employee Services by the 10th of the month. Notifications submitted after these dates may not be processed until the following payroll period. It should also be reminded that these deadlines relate to full and complete requests being submitted. We therefore recommend that, where possible, new starters for September are submitted in advance of the summer holiday break. This will ensure that paperwork can be checked and any issues/missing information fed back to the school prior to school based staff breaking for the summer.
In order to ensure work can be completed across the summer period we would be grateful if schools could submit any personnel/payroll changes of which you are already aware of for either August or September by the end of Term 6.
As we are now a paperless office we urge you to send any paperwork to Employee Services electronically via AVCO or secure email to (Employee.ServicesSchools@eastsussex.gov.uk). Please avoid sending paperwork to your Employee Services contact’s personal email address as these cannot be opened in their absence and this could delay your request being actioned.
