Return to Work form now available through SIMS

Following a sickness absence the return to work conversation you have with your staff can be a great opportunity to discuss their wellbeing. During this conversation you can discuss their health at work and make any arrangements needed for a successful return to work. Following feedback from our school and academy community, the dymanic 'Return to Work' form is now available to import into SIMS. This means that part of the form can be prepopulated for you.

After returning to work following a sickness absence an employee and their manager must have a return to work conversation. In order to provide our school based staff with access to all the support and advice necessary we  introduced a dynamic Return to Work form on 15 February 2018  with a supporting guidance video. The purpose of this form is to promote relevant conversations and signpost support at the earliest opportunity. This form provides tailored questions for specific conditions, for example stress and musculoskeletal absences.

Following feedback from our school and academy community this form is now available to import into SIMS. This means that part of the form can be prepopulated for you. This form is available to download from the Attendance Management page on the Webshop https://www.services2schools.co.uk/resources/personnel/managing-staff/attendance  where you will also find guidance on how to import the form.

Video guidance to support you with the Attendance Management procedure including Return to Work interviews can be found on the Webshop https://www.services2schools.co.uk/resources/personnel/managing-staff/attendance
